Reds Eye Negredo

Liverpool have joined Sunderland in a tough race in attempt to lure Sevilla’s £15 million-rated striker Alvaro Negredo away from his homeground.

Manager Kenny Dalglish is likely to offload David Ngog when the transfer window reopens after the French has failed to impress the fans in his last couple of seasons, and Alvaro Negredo’s arrival at Anfield may see him as a third attacking option or a player who can keep Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll on their toes next term.

26-year-old Negredo has managed up to 65 goals over the past four seasons and is on the fringes of Vicente Del Bosque’s national team set-up as he is strongly linked with moves away from his current club.

It seems doubtless Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish will be looking to bring in a few major signings to Anfield but most of the sources have stated that they are primarily looking for left sided players to fill that ‘problem’ area.
