Let’s start with some Chelsea News, and this is a great way to start your read.
11 Players, Everywhere to Chelsea
Well, that’s quite a way to start with today’s transfer gossip column. But that is what is claimed by British newspaper, The Sun. Well, that is some bold guts or someone mucking about with their press office because it gets even more ridiculous when you mention the names that they are linked to. Well, the crazy spending is quoted to be around a whopping 80 million pounds.
This list includes Cesc Fabregas, Gareth Bale, Gregory van der Wiel, Wesley Sneijder, Thomas Muller, Adam Johnson, Matt Jarvis, Ashley Young, Jack Rodwell, Marouane Fellaini, Luka Modric and Andrey Arshavin.
I wouldn’t bet on this happening, but then again, Abramovic might just prove me wrong there again. Apparently, he’s gone behind Ancelotti’s back (once again) and is planning his own Transfer Shopping Spree.
Great way to start the column, no?
Marouane Chamakh, Arsenal FC to QPR
Well, perhaps not what Arsenal fans were expecting but this is still transfer gossip for today. This is coming out of CaughtOffside quoting several sources and they reckon that this move might go through, especially if QPR make it into the top flight, considering they still have a court battle to win.
The rumoured transfer fee required to take the Moroccan away from the Emirates would be roughly in the region of 12 million pounds. Apparently, compatriot Adel Taarabt is trying to lure him to a move to Queens Park Rangers. Well, not a bad fee for a man who arrived at Arsenal for free, and has seemed to somewhat lose his way following Van Persie’s return to action.
Adel Taarabt, QPR to Liverpool FC
From Taarabt luring Chamakh to Arsenal, we’ve got another report here that Damien Comolli is considering a move to sign the Moroccan midfielder. Apparently, Comolli is a rumoured fan of the player and the club are currently weighing up their options.
Taarabt is valued at 10 million pounds and he can operate as either a winger or behind the hole, like Joe Cole, Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez. Although Liverpool will need to fight off some competition, as many are interested in the attacking midfielder, with Lazio apparently favourites to get his signature.
