The June 2nd Transfer Gossip

Well, it’s another day, another day with loads of transfer rumours. From Arsenal to Manchester United to Liverpool FC, let’s get straight to the rumours!

Our Latest News:

Michael Owen’s Contract Extention
Denilson’s Transfer Latest
Berbatov to Newcastle??

And What the Papers Say:

Luka Modric: The New Paul Scholes?

Well, according to The Daily Mirror, Sir Alex Ferguson certainly thinks that way. Apparently, Ferguson is setting out on a 50 million pound spending spree and Luka Modric is set to be made the ‘heart’ of their summer transfer spending. Of other players mentioned are David de Gea and Ashley Young.

Chelsea Closing in on Lukaku

Lukaku has been scoring goals for fun this season and well, Chelsea are set to wrap up a deal for the talented youngster. Apparently, a deal can be reached within the week, well, that’s at least according to The Guardian. The fee is set to be around 13 million pound up front, with some performances-based payments to be payed should he turn out to be a success with the Blues.

Liverpool in for Unknown Winger

Some news from The Daily Mirror today, whom report that Monaco’s Cameroon international winger Benjamin Moukandjo is subject to some interest from Liverpool FC. Who is he? You might ask, but Scousers need not worry as it is reported this:

Kop boss Kenny Dalglish has had the 22-year-old watched several times and may land him for a bargain fee after the French side were relegated from the top flight at the weekend. Moukandjo scored five goals for Monaco after his January move from Ligue Two side Nimes

The Daily Mirror

Well, although I certainly don’t hope for Ligue Two players the whole of this coming summer transfer window.

And Lastly

Perhaps the most funny piece of news that I have seen this morning, with Bendtner being quoted to be worth 12 million pounds. Here’s what his father told The Daily Mirror

As an agent for Nicklas, I am not told the specific price that Arsenal want. Clubs will sort that out between each other, around £12m sounds very realistic. He has been higher, but the price goes down when he is not playing enough, Nicklas has all the qualities to live up to that sort of money, and we can easily find him a club which wants to pay that amount of money
