Spurs Eyeing Osvaldo

Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur have set their sighs on Espanyol striker Pablo Osvaldo, with manager Harry Redknapp having travelled to watch the player during Espanyol’s 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao – a match that Osvaldo was voted Man of the Match.

The 25-year-old forward has been in formidable form so far this season, finding the net 11 times and providing 3 assists from a total of 20 appearances this campaign.

But reports claim that any major signings in the transfer window can only be sanctioned once the club have culled their massive squad. Jamie O’Hara, Robbie Keane, Giovani dos Santos, David Bentley, Jonathan Woodgate, Carlo Cudicini, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Niko Kranjcar, Alan Hutton, Vedran Corluka and Wilson Palacios are all likely to depart from White Hart Lane.

Osvaldo is rated by theCastol Edge Rankings as the 417th best player currently playing his trade in one of the top five leagues in Europe.
