The Something New Transfer Gossip

So it’s May 12th and it’s back to business with our daily transfer gossip, today we got you some stuff on Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool

Manuel Neuer, Schalke to Bayern Munich (It’s official)

Schalke superstar goalie Manuel Neuer has officially put pen to paper and has signed a contract with Bavarian giants Bayern Munich. He bucks the trend of moving to Bayern Munich from a German club, whom seem to be the destination of up and coming German players.

Bayern Munich managed to claim his signature after forking out a sum of £22million for the German International. So this ends Manchester United’s interest in the goalie, at least for now, and will probably lead them to sign either Ajax’s Stekelenburg or Atletico’s David De Gea.

Maarten Stekelenburg, Ajax to Schalke

The Neuer deal could be a double whammy to Manchester United, as now it appears that Schalke are now interested in their target Stekelenburg. There isn’t much on this, but it certainly is one to watch.

Manchester City Gone Bonkers, They Want Xavi

Well, the money is being thrown once more, but honestly this is one step too far. I would actually like to point to Kaka, someone they could have actually signed by now. But they want Xavi, at least that’s what The Daily Mirror reports.

I actually don’t even want and need to bring up the quotes. Simply because it is almost the most impossible a deal. He is well happy at Barcelona and simply he won’t move to a ‘smaller club’ and the other reason being that Barca is his hometown club.

So that’s 20 seconds of your time wasted

Brad Friedel to Liverpool FC?

Liverpool fans look away, and as a Liverpool FC fan myself, I don’t want this deal. The Daily Mirror claims that Liverpool are ‘closing in on a deal’ for the American keeper.

It is in the newspaper’s view that Pepe Reina is still headed to the exit door, but even I would strongly write that off, I doubt that Arsenal would seriously shell out 20 million pounds to fund a single transfer.

Kenny Dalglish Deal Inching Closer

I really wonder who wrote the rubbish about Villas Boas signing a pre-contract with the Anfield chiefs as apparently he has come out with a statement saying that he will stay with Porto beyond this season.

And another news article saying that the Kenny Dalglish contract will be sorted out within 10 days.

So that’s that I guess.
