Gerrard Set To Tear Devils Apart

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has sent a strong message to his arch rivals Manchester United that he will lead his side out for revenge next season.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has once stated that he aims to “knock Liverpool off their perch” when he took over and is now very likely to achieve his dream as The Red Devils are set to win the Barclays Premier League for a record 19 times – one more than Liverpool.

Kop skipper Steven Gerrard has vowed that his side will do everything they can next season to try and overtake Manchester United in the record books.

Give (Manchester United) credit where it’s due, they’ve overtaken us for the time being. But we are on our way back up and we won’t give up the fight to overtake them again – don’t worry about that.

That is the motivation. We can still boast about the European Cups, of course, but everyone here will be doing everything we can to get the league record back.
