The fee that Arsenal are apparently offering the Spaniard to Barcelona is surprisingly low, well at least, lower than expected as the fee is apparently just 35 million euros.
The paper claims that ‘Arsene Wenger is unlikely to stand in the Spaniard’s way after persuading him not to leave last season for his beloved Barcelona. Arsenal insiders are convinced this will be Fabregas’ last season at the Emirates despite having four years of his £120,000-a-week contract to run.
The Spain international is disillusioned with the club’s failure to lift a trophy since 2005
i would have personally thought that Fabregas would have been able to fetch a higher price then that, especially when you compare to the Fernando Torres deal.
So will this spell a brand new start for Arsenal? And the second most important question is, will Arsenal manage to buy wisely in the transfer window (should they spend at all)? We just have to wait and see!
