And it will certainly be a momentous occasion down at Anfield, who will get another chance to look into the next ‘golden generation’ of Liverpool, which consists the likes of full backs John Flanagan and left back Jack Robinson.
Both did wonderful under the circumstances at the Emirates and managed to keep the person they were supposed to mark at bay for most of the match, with Jack Robinson especially being impressive in keeping the pacey winger in Theo Walcott quiet for most of the time before Walcott was substituted out.
And Jay Spearing will certainly be up for this fixture, as he will look to continue on his recent good run of form, which includes a man of the match award against Arsenal last weekend despite him giving away a penalty.
Another young man set to play is Jonjo Shelvey, but he will most likely be brought on from the bench in the latter parts of the encounter, but he did well against Arsenal as well to earn Liverpool the free kick which led to the penalty.
Hope today’s match is a cracker! 🙂
