Having had his bids for Luis Fabiano, Giuseppe Rossi and Sergio Aguerro turned down in January, Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is now setting his sighs on Porto’s star attacker, Givaldinho Hulk.
Hulk has been in formidable form for FC Porto so far this season, scoring a total of 21 goals in 23 games and is currently valued at £27 million by the Portuguese club.
FC Porto have recently responded to interest in their 24-year-old by renegotiating his release clause up from £34million to £84million.
Brazil international Hulk has also been closly monitored by Manchester City, as manager Roberto Mancini is getting more and more busy looking for a replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor – who looks likely to leave the club for Real Madrid when the transfer window opens.
Tottenham Hotspur will be listening to offers for Robbie Keane and are also aware of interests in their Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, while their £3 million outlay on Everton’s Steven Pienaar leaves them with quite some money to spend.
Spurs will face a tough competition from Manchester United and Newcastle United as they vie for the 24-year-old’s signature
