All Talk, No Bite? – Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger: New Transfer Rumour

Arsenal fans will probably be familiar with this saying, as it perfectly depicts Arsene Wenger’s transfer dealing work, all talk, no real bite

With the exception of Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin (whom both went on to be successful), Arsene Wenger is certainly one for not splashing the cash…. when he has it at his disposal! Now it’s AC Milan midfield maestro, Andrea Pirlo who is linked with the London giants.

And of all clubs to compete with for his signature in terms of talking about money, they face competition from the moneybags, Manchester City in the race for the Italian’s signature. Wenger wants Pirlo to compete for a place with Alex Song and Abou Diaby, whilst helping to guide and teach youngsters Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey.

Ancelotti wants to work with Pirlo again, after their time at Milan together, but his signing will go against the Blues policy of signing youngsters. Mancini, Ancelotti’s former Scudetto rival is also interested from his time at the Serie A, with Pirlo’s eye catching displays at the San Siro drawing the Italian manager’s attention.
