In the latest string of transfer rumour, it has emerged that Liverpool FC have moved to the front in the chase for Brazilian playmaker Diego Ribas.
The 26 year old has had a bumpy start to life at Wolfsburg after his move back to the Bundesliga from Juventus and now it looks like he is seeking a move away from Wolfsburg and is apparently ‘thrilled’ that a club like Liverpool FC are chasing him.
Not only has his form been inconsistent this season, but it has also been affected by his impression with his teammates, having apparently fallen out with his teammates on several different occasions. His departure is also being helped by the fact that Wolfsburg are relatively close to relegation.
Liverpool are a club with Meireles, Lucas and on some occasions Steven Gerrard in central midfield, so clearly Diego is a good player but perhaps his signing would be little more than a luxury back up that the club could do without, not least if, as speculated, he can be a dressing room disruption.
I am honored that such a club has set their eyes on me. They are one of the most prestigious teams in the world. Playing for them would be an honour
