England manager is set to unleash the strike force of Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and the player that cost Liverpool FC a club record transfer fee, Andy Carroll.
The duo are set to be featuring alongside each other against in England’s Euro 2012 Qualifiers against Wales next weekend.
Andy Carroll made his debut for Liverpool during their clash against rivals Manchester United which they eventually won 3-1. He then featured in Liverpool’s Europa League fixture against Sporting Braga, the match when he impressively won every single header that he was involved with.
Fabio Capello’s assistant, Franco Baldini, watched Andy Carroll’s display in Liverpool’s win 2-0 at Sunderland in the Barclays Premier League. He has stated his satisfaction with Andy Carroll and believes the former Newcastle United forward will be fit enough to play after struggling with a thigh injury.
Meanwhile, Andy Carroll’s Liverpool teammate, Glen Johnson, believes that there is absolutely “no doubt” for the big striker to adapt into the international level.
