The proposed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain move to the Emirates is looking increasingly unlikely, as it has emerged that Manchester United are ready to pay the required 10 million pounds needed for Southampton startlet. And they plan to meet the asking price through add ons.
Fergie has some money at his disposal this summer and wants to make sure that Oxlade-Chamberlain – son of former England winger Mark Chamberlain – is among the players that will be signed. Arsene Wenger was hoping that he would follow in the footsteps of Walcott, who signed for Arsenal from Southampton, but ironically, the speedy winger would block Chamberlain’s route into the first team.
