Chelsea are going to continue their spending following the arrival of Fernando Torres and this time they are going to up the stakes, putting 85 million pounds, just on players!
Chelsea have set their sights on 3 players, of whom are expected to get Chelsea back to the pinnacle of English Football. The 3 men in question are Athletico Madrid’s Sergio ‘Kun’ Aguero, Wesley Sneijder and Everton young midfielder Jack Rodwell.
Aguero looks the most likely arrival, as Athletico Madrid are currently trying to cope with financial trouble, and offloading the Argentine will certainly help their cause, but more importantly Athelico are struggling in the La Liga this season and as their current position suggests, (8th) they won’t be going around Europe next year, leaving Aguero to possibly leaving in the summer.
Rodwell is an interesting one, after rumours emerged that a deal with Manchester United had been accepted, it seems like some paperwork got lost in there, and the deal has for a fact, NOT been completed, leaving Chelsea in a bidding war for the English youngster.
Sneijder is on the back of a fairly bad season for Inter Milan, with them starting horribly in their Serie A campaign. Sneijder might seek greener pastures elsewhere and Stamford Bridge might be a likely destination.
