Kenny Dalglish has been scouring the talent for a man capable of crossing the ball in for tall striker Andy Carroll to head and he seems to have found that in Rennes winger Sylvain Marveux. The 24 year old’s contract at Rennes runs out in the summer and Liverpool managed to secure his signing on bosman.
Manchester United and Chelsea were also reportedly interested last year, with West Ham coming close to signing him, although they were only willing to pay 3 million pounds for the Frenchman. Marveux does not see the Liverpool squad as depleted after the loss of former star striker, Spaniard, Fernando Torres.
I am very close to reaching agreement with Liverpool about joining them next season.
