Fabregas fit against Barcelona.
Arsenal skipper is almost certain to be included in the squad against Barcelona in their next Champions League match.
Fabregas has stated that he is currently “90%” and he knows what an advantage Barcelona will be given if he is absent. Former Barcelona youth player Fabregas has not played since injuring his hamstring in Arsenal’s Premiership victory over Stoke City almost two weeks ago and missed the Carling Cup final defeat to Birmingham City.
Arsenal will be traveling to Camp Nou for the return leg of the UEFA Champions League Round 16 – protecting the 2-1 they’ve inflicted over Pep Guardiola’s men in the first leg at The Emirates stadium.
More to add to Arsenal’s boost, manager Arsene Wenger has included striker Robin Van Persie to the squad. Van Persie will be hoping for a quick return after being sidelined for 2 weeks. The Dutchman made an early return to training at London Colney with his teammates on Monday and has unexpectedly been named in a 19-man squad that will be cut to 18 ahead of the match.
Unfortunately, their holding midfielder Alexandre Song has been ruled out of the clash. Song has been sidelined due to a knee injury while Jack Wilshere has recovered from slight ankle discomfort.
