Keane keen on staying

Robbie Keane has vowed to stay at the club – only if they happen to survive the Barclays Premier League relegation dogfight.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker joined the Hammers on loan with a view to a permanent deal – reportedly around £6million – during the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old left Harry Redknapp’s side in January after falling out of favour in the squad due to the likes of Jermaine Defoe, Peter Crouch, Roman Pavlyuchenko and raising star Giovani Dos Santos.

The Irish international will be looking forward to feature this weekend when his current side take on league leaders Manchester United – expecting himself to be including into the starting 11.

I would prefer to be criticised for going to play football than be criticised for sitting on the bench and collecting my money.
